All National Borders are imaginary. But some are more imaginary than others” — Kai Friese
The world is facing its largest refugee crisis after WWII. Since 2015, 25.9 million refugees have been navigating imaginary borders — cutting across homeland, water, and identity. This short film presents a mosaic of political questions that underpin the global conundrum: national security, citizenship, health, nutrition, territorial integrity, systemic violence against the ‘other’, and the constitutive aporia of inclusion-exlusion.
It was screened at the India Today Conclave, 2019.
